Here's the highlights from the perspective of our 4yr old:
- Popcorn and lots of it. We knew we could easily keep him still with a tub of popcorn and he was thrilled to take care of most of the tub by himself!
- Jack also got his first real tastes of caffeinated soda. It was ordered by mistake and there is no throwing it out at that price. By second half (and the whole way home), he was quite the jitterbug and was singing silly songs nonstop.
- Ramsey, the mascot. Jackson watched him the whole time and would yell "Hi Ramsey, its me - Jackson!".
- Bouncing around during the "Jump Around" song in the beginning. He totally cracked up watching the student section go wild.
- The bus ride to and from the park and ride.
- I explained that we were playing against the Maryland Terps, which was like a turtle. When I told him that we wanted to beat them, he exclaimed, "But, I like turtles, mommy!".
- Fans coming up to him and wanting to give the "little tarheel" a high five.
- When I told him earlier in the day about the special game we were going to together, he asked if he could dress up like a cheerleader. Ha! I told him that we would certainly wear our blue tarheel shirts and cheer loudly.
He did watch some of the game, but by far was more entertained by the environment. It was cute to watch him yell "Go Heels!" Hopefully this is the first of many more family bonding times with our beloved Tarheels!
