Hit the road, Jack

We've had a few short road trips in the last week. Sunday we went to visit Great-Grandmother Rose, and go to her 96th birthday party. It was great to see all the family and celebrate with her, even if the Assisted Living party room was a smoldering 85 degrees (great-grandmother and her friends were comfortable in all their layers!!).

Today, Jack and I hit the road early to go to the zoo. It was another perfect day for it. I called my friend Shannon and her 3 kiddos (Justin, Avery, & Gray) met us there. Jackson of course loved the animals, especially the polor bear and sea lions (we got to see their feeding and the zoo keepers were showing us some tricks). Jackson also loved running, climbing, and making monkey noises with Justin. By the time we left, those kids were dragging.
