We were invited to our former church this morning to celebrate the 150th Anniversary. It was a big deal, Mike shared a short testimony, and we got to see tons of old friends and our old youth group kids. The service itself went long due to all the festivities - so I snuck out during a song to check on Jackson in the preschool, since I knew he'd be starving. And he was.
Immediately following the service, a photographer was there to take a group shot. So, I brought Jackson into the sanctuary (thinking it was safe & he'd be relatively quiet) and pumped him with goldfish & juice while they were getting everyone ready. And, of course, he was dotted-on like crazy and got lots of attention - which led to him really hamming it up for the crowd. During the actual picture taking he was YELLING "Cheese!"... while the rest of the 200+ plus crowd smiled quietly. I've often said that the kid only knows one decibel - LOUD!! Then, during the prayer for lunch, Jack randomly yelled and then burped VERY LOUDLY. Causing much laughter and looks. Our old youth LOVED it. Ah, moments that make a mommy oh-so proud.
